A Word from MONICA
By Monica Edmonds  Writer/Teacher  Louisville, KY

If you are fulfilling
the will of God
in your life, don't fret
if you come to a "Red Sea"
or a Valley
that seems to be "the
Valley of the Shadow
of Death."
If HE leads you TO IT,
HE'LL lead you
THROUGH IT!

"WE ALL CAN USED"

Have you ever felt like because of your past or the not-so-good decisions you’ve made in life that you have been prohibited you from God using you for His glory?  We all have had that thought run through our mind at one time or another.  God truly enjoys using His people in a way that shows His perfect glory and faithfulness.  We all have a past and for some of us, we are still living our daily lives in our flesh, but God says “I want to use you anyway.”  God is a redeemer and that’s why He died on the cross for us.  There are many people in the Bible that God has used in a mighty way and they have become leaders of His Word.

God used Noah to build the ark and Noah was a drunk.  Jacob was a liar.  Samson was a womanizer.  Rahab was a prostitute.  David had an affair and was a murderer.  Jonah ran from God and Peter denied Christ, but you can see in the word they were still used for the glory of God.  They all have a purpose in His Word.  God uses our test as our testimony.  God is unlike man; God searches the heart and doesn’t define us by our actions.  God knows we will never be perfect, but He wants us to strive toward perfection.  He wants us to read His Word for guidance, direction, strength and deliverance.  He also wants us to live a life of obedience unto Him.

If you are struggling today with your past, always remember that God has a purpose for you and wants you to lead a life of abundance through His Word.  When you give your life to Christ you can be assured of one thing, and that is you have the victory over any trial or tribulation because God has authority over heaven and earth.

Until next time "Be Ready For The Word Of The Lord."

Monica
