PRESS RELEASE from Branson News: "Please return Avenue of Freedom Flats." Flags along the Avenue of Freedom in Branson, MO that have fallen and been retrieved by motorists should be returned to the Branson's Veterans Task Force so that they can be cared for properly. It's a beautiful sight where an American flag flies from every lamp post in the median on a stretch of Gretna Road. Recent wind and bad weather have taken atoll on these flags. The Branson's Veterans' Task Force certainly appreciates the help from the community and visitors when someone cares enough to stop and pick up the downed flags." Those flags should be taken or mailed to the task force office at 138 Pointe Royale Dr., Ste 0, Branson, MO 65615. Since 2001 the Avenue of Freedom flags have waved in remembrance of veterans from past wars who died in combat, those Americans who lost their lives on 9/11, and emergency workers who die in the line of duty while trying to save others. For further info call 417-337-8387. |
